I converted my DV files into upper field first, but they still play as lower field first
You must use “field blending” option
to re-encode your DV files is lower field first

The reason for this is that because you play files with Upper Field First, Lower Field First and/or Progressive simultaneously in same playlist. You should choose one type of fields for all the files and reencode them to same field order.
