What is Channel in a Box?

TV Channel-in-a-Box (also known as Master Control Room/MCR in a box or integrated playout) is a concept in the broadcast industry, which enables the broadcasters and the content owners to achieve playout automation that provides video ingest, creates content through inserting logos, animations and commercials, and afterwards streaks it before television audiences.

Channel in the Box refers to all the technology needed to launch a channel in one server (box). These processes include: input interfaces to ingest video, real-time video processing to implement digital video effects, storage interfaces to obtain the related content, output interfaces to play out the final video produced and handle all billing and business operations.
